Slideboarding is an intermediate level, and unique, water slide / video game hybrid at the World Waterpark.
Players must ride on a slideboard which features handles with integrated buttons on them. These buttons represent colors, and are to be pressed as the board travels under similar-colored LED lights located within the slide. More difficult stages challenge the player to press more than one color at once.
Slideboards can be registered to a player username, which allows for tracking of high scores and progression of difficulty levels. Registration also allows for players to choose their preferred music genre.
And the end of the slide, a leaderboard screen displays a players’ score, along with a map of which lights were accurately ‘hit’.
Slideboarding replaced the left chute of the original Howler water slide, after it was closed due to a turn which was eventually deemed unsafe.
