Galaxyland Powered by Hasbro

Galaxyland Powered by Hasbro, formerly known simply as Galaxyland, is the World’s Largest Indoor Amusement Park (a disputed claim which several other parks also make). Located in West Edmonton Mall, the physical park itself been in operation since 1983 when it first opened under the name Fantasyland., before being re-imagined into an outer space theme between 1995 and 2022.

In December of 2022, the park celebrated its Powered by Hasbro Grand Opening, delivering on a 2019 announcement that the park would become rethemed with Hasbro toy and game brands.

Galaxyland Powered by Hasbro is around 400,000 sq. ft. in area, and hosts more than 23 rides, along with other attractions and games. Some noteworthy rides include:

  • The Mindbender: The world’s largest indoor triple loop roller-coaster
  • The Space Shot: Formerly the world’s tallest indoor tower ride
  • The Galaxy Orbiter: Canada’s first spinning coaster

In 2019, a licensing deal his Hasbro was announced, which was expected to result in a re-theme of the park using Hasbro owned toys and game theme themes. In the years which followed, many of these re-themes were unveiled, including Mr. Potato Head, Monopoly, G.I. Joe, Sorry!, Trouble, My Little Pony, Operation, and Hungry Hungry Hippos.

As of December 2022, many rides were still awaiting a retheme. However, it is expected that virtually every ride will undergo a rebranding with a Hasbro toy or game as its theme.
